Manhattan Orthodontist Janet H. Stoess-Allen, DMD
New York Orthodontist Dr. Stoess-Allen graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. After practicing as a dental hygienist for five years, she decided to pursue a degree in dentistry. Dr. Stoess-Allen attended the dental school at the University of Louisville to pursue her advanced dental education. She then went on to attend New York University where she took part in a two year orthodontic residency program.
Dr. Stoess-Allen is presently a member of several organization including the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), the Northeast Society of Orthodontics (NSO), the American Dental Association (ADA), the New York Dental Society, the Women’s Academy of Dentistry (WAD), and ICCMO. In addition, she is dedicated to offering her talents and time by providing orthodontic assessments and management to countless charitable establishments such as the Little Baby Face Foundation, which offers treatment to children worldwide that have facial and dental deformities. Dr. Stoess-Allen actively participates in the Make a Wish Foundation as well as the Smiles Changes Lives organization. She was also recently recognized as a Who’s Who as Orthodontist of the Year.
Over the past several years, Manhattan orthodontist Dr. Stoess-Allen has dedicated a substantial amount of instructive and clinical time to the treating oral physiological ailments by assisting patients that complain of pain and soreness in the neck, head, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) regions. When treating her patients (both children and adults) Dr.Janet Stoess-Allen, a NYC dental professional, bases her practice on the physiological arranging of the teeth so that they are placed in a balanced and proportioned relationship to the adjacent muscles and bones.
New York orthodontist Dr. Stoess-Allen and her husband live in Manhattan and are the proud parents of their 19 year old son Zach.
